Stiff competition at Raceboard Youth & Masters Worlds
Posted On:  26/08/2009 09:10:04
Ali Masters (GBR) heads the Raceboard Youth pack, breaking up France's day one domination of the fleet. Overnight leader Fabian Pic (FRA) lays just a point behind in second with fellow countryman Olivier Pinlou, who took the bullet in race 4, in third.

Benoit Bigot, also from France, will be pleased with his performance of 1st and 2nd in today's races.  Down at 36th at close of play on Monday, he has rocketed up to fourth position.

Brit Izzy Hamilton has moved up above Delphine Cousin from France in the ladies.

Four-time Olympian Joao Rodrigues (POR) continues to boss the Raceboard Masters, four points clear of Patrik Pollak (SVK) in second while Barrie Edgington remains third.

However, Greek Nikolaos Kaklamanakis, the Greek Gold-medal winner who lit the Olympic torch in the opening ceremony of the 2004 Summer Olympics, took two bullets today which shoots him off the bottom up to 15th.  Watch out at the top - Niko has already discarded one of his DNC's!

In fourth overall, Tom Naylor (GBR) is the top Grand Master, Jean Asia (FRA) is the top veteran and Annette Kent (GBR) the highest-ranked female sailor.

Racing is scheduled to resume at 11am tomorrow.
